Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year or the Spring Festival, is the most important Chinese holiday. Chinese New Year is on the 1st day of the Lunar calendar and lasts 15 days ending with the Lantern Festival. This year, Chinese New Year falls on Sunday, January 22, 2023 and runs through February 5, 2023. Sweep out the old and welcome the prosperity and luck of the new year! Join us as we gather together for a big SWFCA family dinner to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit!
This year SWFCA will also be celebrating SWFCA's 30th anniversary! Join us as we honor our past presidents and vice presidents for their dedication and support of the Chinese community in Southwest Florida.
You don't want to miss this. After dinner there will be a show including lion dance and dragon dance teams to ring in the new year, Chinese cultural dancers, musicians, singers, and tai chi. This will be a sell-out event and seating is limited so become a member on our Contact page and watch for our emails to register for this event. Membership is free!
