The Southwest Florida Chinese Association (西南佛州华人协会) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting Chinese culture. All are welcome.
Mission Statement The mission of the Southwest Florida Chinese Association is to serve the communities in Southwest Florida by preserving and promoting Chinese culture, providing a variety of activities to benefit members and the community, and promoting understanding between ethnic groups of different backgrounds. |

Establishment of the Southwest Florida Chinese Association
The Southwest Florida Chinese Association was established in 1993. More ethnic Chinese people were moving into the area at that time, but there was no cultural organization to benefit them. Jerry Ma was appointed along with several friends to establish the association by registering with the State of Florida as a cultural nonprofit organization to promote traditional Chinese virtue, charities, and healthy activities. Fortunately with the help and support of the Chinese community and people of many different nationalities the association sustained for twenty-seven years until now. We hope that people with talent will continue the effort to emit the humanitarian brightness to benefit the local community.
Since November 7, 2022, Southwest Florida Chinese Association has officially became a chapter of United Chinese Americas (UCA). UCA is a nationwide nonprofit and nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to enriching and empowering Chinese American communities through civic engagement, political participation, heritage sharing, youth development and a greater understanding between the people of the United States and China for the well-being of all Americans and this world.
The Southwest Florida Chinese Association serves the Southwest Florida region. Southwest Florida is a vacationer's paradise known for its beaches and golf courses. It is situated along the Gulf of Mexico and includes four metropolitan areas: North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota, Cape Coral-Fort Myers, Naples-Marco Island, and Punta Gorda. In October 2017, National Geographic ranked the Naples-Immokalee -Marco Island area 11th on the list of top 25 happiest cities in the U.S.
The Southwest Florida Chinese Association has members in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, and Naples. It was founded in 1993 by Mr. Chan, Mrs. Tong, Mr. Ma, and Mr. Leung.
